CONNECTIONS
ACADEMY"
Connections Academy is a free public
school that students attend from home. It
combines aspects of homeschooling with
those of traditional public education.
Connections Academy is a virtual
educational program (also known as a
virtual school or cyber school) serving
students in grades K-12. Certified teachers
work with students and a parent or other
adult, referred to as a "Learning Coach"
to deliver instruction. The Connections
Academy program is accredited by the
AdvancED Accreditation Commissioner.
Big Horn County School District #1
is proud to work in cooperation with
Connections Academy to provide
students in Wyoming the opportunity to
have the education experience of their
choice.

Make a Difference!
We have a stakeholder group (anyone
who has a'stake' in the education of our
students: school personnel, parents,
community members) that works on
school improvement through the
NCA Accreditation Process. If you are
interested in participating in a district
stakeholder group, please contact Patrice

The State of Wyoming provides
Hathaway Merit and Needs-Based
scholarships to Wyoming students
attending the University of Wyoming
and Wyoming Community Colleges.
Every student who meets the
requirements can earn a Hathaway
Merit Scholarship. Contact your school
counselor for more information.
