Spirit and
dance groups
compete for
statewide
recognition

Mountain High School
cheerleader Sydney Tyacke
were named to the All-State
cheer team at the Wyoming
Spirit Coaches Association
competition held last Sat-
urday in Casper.
Two members of
Lovell's dance squad, Tiana
O'Tremba and Shay Kite,
also made the All-State
Dance team in the same
competition.
All of the girls were giv-
en an individual routine to
learn over a two-week pe-
riod of time. Each compet-
ed individually before the
judges.
The girls will compete
again with their teams in
the Wyoming High School
Activities Association con-
test in Casper on March 7.
Unlike the WSCA competi-
tion, the girls will compete
with their teammates in
the WHSAA competition for
team recognition.
The Lovell cheerlead-
ers will compete at 4:32
p.m. and the RMHS Cheer-
leaders will compete at 5:20
p.m. The dance squad from
Lovell will compete at 7:40
p.m. on the same day.
Last year the Lovell
dance team took second
place, Lovell cheerlead-
ers took ninth place and
Rocky's cheerleaders took
124 place.

Office 2010 features
Technology instructor
Lori Austill will be teaching
a hands-on workshop cover-
ing the new features found
in Office 2010 on Thursday,
March 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. in
Northwest College's Science
and Math Building, Room
135 computer lab. The class
is designed for experienced
users of MS Office software.
Participants will learn
how to get the most out of
this software by using such
features as personalizing
the Quick Access tool bar,
customizing and rearrang-
ing ribbons, using the con-
tents of the new file tab and
navigation pane, setting up
a personal document style,
creating a building block of
commonly inserted items,
formatting text and more.
There is a fee for the
course. For more information
