Northwest College's Percussion Ensemble
and Flute Ensemble share the concert stage with
an assortment of new and familiar selections Mon-
day, April 23, in the Nelson Performing Arts Cen-
ter Auditorium•
The evening performances start at 7:30 p.m.
with Robert Rumbolz directing the Percussion En-
semble. The group will perform a variety of 20th
century works including minimalist classics such
as Steve Reich's "Clapping Music" and Terry Ri-
ley's meditative "In C." They'll feature basketballs
on Terry Gunderson's humorous "B-Ballaphonia"
and add an interesting visual component to the
movements of the players in Australian composer
Erik Griswold's "Strings Attached."
Members of the Percussion Ensemble are Ra-
chel Shreve of Basin; Keller Paulson of Casper;
Coleman Mummery of Cody; Britton Liedtke of
Green River; and Drew Brown, Ryan Swanson
and Becky Voss of Powell.
Austin Frescoln directs the Flute Ensemble in
some familiar melodies flavored with a little jazz,
along with some exuberant movement and stri-
dent rhythms. Selections include "Allegro Maesto-
so" by Handel, "O Perfect Love" by Barnby, "Clog
Dance" by Hanson and "Over the Rainbow" by Ar-
len.
Flute Ensemble members include Richelle
Tewes of Buffalo, Kyrie Standridge of Cody,
Stephanie Cuch of Lovell, Becky Voss of Powell
and Heather Dolan of Billings, Mont.
The concert is free and open to the public,

primary Tuesday night. There was a bunch in attendance
from the lower end of town who wanted a radical change
but they failed signally, having been numerically too weak
as the friends of the administration were "onto the game."
