It’s fall and a great time for'projects. We
are fortunate to have local businesses who
carry the items we need for projects, or who
can do the. projects for us, so here are some
ideas, suggestions and tips.
If you are looking for a new house or a
place to rent, stop by Johnson Home and Land.
They can help.
To wash the dirt off your house, garage or
driveway. Workman Wash and Blast can save
you many hours and have it looking great in
no time. lt can also save hours of scraping if
you’re planning to repaint. Good quality paint
for every possible need from crafts and deco-
rating to painting inside and out is available at
CK Hardware and Lovell Building Center. Lovell
Building Center also has a great selection of
new appliances.
Want to build, remodel, add a shed or
garage or build a fence, add a pond. deck or
landscape the yard, or just winterize? All your
supplies can be found or ordered at Lovell
Building Center and/or CK Hardware. Geor-
gia-Pacific produces gypsum board and dry-
wall that is fire resistant and/or mildew and
mold resistant. Their products are available at
Lovell Building Center for inside and outside. If
you need someone to do it for you, as most of
us do, we have C&C Builders — Craig Walker
and A&E Building Services — Hon Walker. Both
do a beautiful job and you will be pleased with
their work.
Need to stretch the cost of paying for your
project(s) out a bit so you don’t have to pay for
them all at once? We have three great financial
institutions who can help solve that problem —
Bank of Lovell, Big Horn Federal and First Bank
of Wyoming.
T0 splff up the place, Varney Clean Care is
the place to call for the inside. They can sham-
poo your carpets, clean your walls or clean up
from water, smoke or other damage definite-
ly the place to call. Workman Wash and Blast
can do the same outside.
Mayes Fabrics and V&S Variety have nu-
merous craft and sewing supplies, including
ideas for redecorating. Quilts, new placemats
and various crafts can do wonders to brighten
a room.
To keep the mice out, throw mothballs
underneath your foundation or mobile home.
They can be found at V&S Variety and CK Hard~
ware. To help discourage the mice and keep
the bugs out, poke holes in thelid of a quart jar,
fill it with baking soda (available at Red Apple
and CK Hardware) and addiO-plus drops of
peppermint oil. Shake it up good and let it sit
for a few minutes, then shake it all over your
carpet. Leave it for 20 minutes then vacuum
it up. Repeat this once a month and no more
bugs and your carpet and house smell fresh.
For windows needing plastic for winter, it is
available at CK Hardware and Lovell Building
Center. If you use sticky Velcro, available at
V&S Variety and Mayes Fabrics, it will seal up
tight and can easily be removed and reused
the following year.
if you are freezing fruits, vegetables or
other small items, put them in sandwich or pint
bags, then put those inside the 2-2V2 gallon
Ziplock storage or freezer bags available at
V&S Variety and CK Hardware. They are easy
to find in the freezer and you always know how
many are available.
