A young man from
Frannie who was working
in North Dakota was killed
Sunday when the motorcy-
cle he was riding struck a
water truck north of New
Town, N.D.
According to an arti-
cle in the Williston Herald,
quoting a press release from
the North Dakota High-
way Patrol, Brandon Bun-
nell was riding a Triumph
motorcycle west on North
Dakota Highway 1804 at
about 2:40 p.m. Sunday
when he struck a Freight-
liner truck and tanker trail-
er eight miles north of New
Town.
The water truck, driv-
en by Bradley Courtwright,
was also traveling west on
the highway.
According to the Her-
ald, Bunnell started to pass
the truck but lost control
of the motorcycle, which
struck the rear trailer tires
of the Freightliner. Bunnell
was ejected from the motor-

The Lovell Police De-
partment received the fol-
lowing calls for the week of
Sept. 25 - Oct. 2:
Sept. 25: Residents report-
ed a man driving unsafely in
an area near children. The
man was warned to slow
down.
Sept. 26: Lovell Police re-
ceived a report that a wom-
an left her 3-month-old and
18-month-old children home
unattended while she went
to a local bar. When police
investigated they found the
children alone in the apart-
ment and gas was leaking
from a valve that wasn't
closed all the way on the
stove. The gas from the
leaking valve had filled the
apartment, creating a dan-
gerous situation for the chil-
dren. Alyssa Ridens was
arrested and charged with
child abuse and child endan-
germent after the incident.
Lovell Police received a
report of a man with a
gun outside of a house on
Second Street. The gun
was an air soft gun with
its orange tip removed,
which officers reported
made it look like a real
gun. The matter is under
investigation.
A motorist drove off with-
out paying for $81 worth
of gas from the Sinclair
Station on East Main
Street. Police were un-
able to locate the motor-
ist.
Sept. 28: A resident of
Lovell reported hearing
shots near his home on Cir-
cle Drive. The matter is un-
der investigation.
A resident of Lovell re-
ceived a scam phone
call from someone who
claimed to be calling on

in cow versus car
The Big Horn County
Sheriffs Office received the
following calls for the week
of Sept. 24-Oct. 1:
Sept. 24: Sheriffs depu-
ties received a report that
a small vehicle hit a cow on
U.S. Highway 14A. There
were no injuries to the pas-
sengers in the car, but the
vehicle was disabled and
the cow was killed in the in-
cident.
Sept. 26: A resident of
Deaver reported unsani-
tary living conditions and
alleged hoarding of animals
at a residence in Deaver.
The matter is under inves-
tigation.
Sept. 27: A resident of
Cowley complained to Sher-
iffs deputies that he loaned
a corral to someone who re-
fuses to return it. The mat-
ter is under investigation.
Sept. 28: Sheriffs depu-
ties were called to investi-
gate an incident involving
alleged domestic violence
in Cowley. No arrests were
made.

ta. Bowman said he still
lived in Frannie, however,
and would travel back and
forth.

formation there was no-
body on the line so she
called the jail and found
out they had not called

A baby snake was found
on East Fifth Street.
Lovell Police depart-
ment's animal control of-
ricer determined that it
was not a rattlesnake and
released the snake into
the wild.
Lovell Police were called
to investigate a large dog
running loose near an
open apartment door. It
was determined that the
wind blew the door open
and the dog got loose as a
result.
